| e-pay (M) Sdn Bhd |
| |
|
Mr Simon Loh founded e-pay (M) in 1999 to provide reliable, secure
and flexible electronic prepaid solutions to service providers,
and at the same time to create business opportunities to retailers,
thus revolutionizing the traditional purchase process of physical
top up cards among consumers. e-pay secured its first Mobile Operator
partnership with Digi in 1999 and this was rapidly followed by tie-ups
with Celcom, Maxis, Telekom and Time in 2000, with 7-Eleven, Guardian
Pharmacy, BP, and Petronas in 2001, and with Satelindo, Indonesia's
second largest mobile operator in 2002.
Today, e-pay is the leading provider of electronic top up services
for prepaid
mobile users in Southeast Asia, and operates in Malaysia, Indonesia,
Pakistan and Thailand, processes about 70 million prepaid mobile
transactions per annum through a network of over 20,000 points of
sale with an impressive compound revenue and profit growth of approximately
50% per annum over the past few years.
In January 2006, e-pay Malaysia was injected into e-pay Asia Ltd,
which is dual listed on ASX (Australia Stock Exchange) in 2000 as
well as on AIM (Alternative Investment Market) of London Stock Exchange
in 2005, the first Malaysian company to be listed on that Market.
Mr Loh was one of the founder members of Young Entrepreneurs Organization
Malaysia Chapter, a global, non-profit educational organization
for business owners. @ Sept 06 |

| Mr Edwin Lim Beng Fook |
| K-One Technology Berhad |
| |
|
Predisposed to turning adversities into opportunities in a humble
background, Mr Lim self-financed his way through a Masters degree
in Mechanical Engineering. Mr Lim's pioneering spirit was expressed
at university where he developed probably the first Materials Requirement
Planning system software, a precursor to the Enterprise Resource
Planning system, which ran on the first desktop IBM PC in 1980.
This was a major breakthrough as most software then ran on mainframe
computers.
After two decades with multinational companies, Mr Lim co-founded
and self-financed the K-One Group in 2001, having been declined
by banks as a highly risky venture. The Group designs, develops
and manufactures electronic end products for the communication,
computer, consumer electronic / multimedia and automotive industries.
The magnum opus of its array of products is the optical module,
used in the world's first digital pen, which it co-developed with
Sweden's Anoto. The Group exports all their products and services,
mainly to Europe, besides America and North Asia with clients including
major OEMs such as Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication, Logitech,
C Tech and Nokia.
K-One Technology attained MSC status in 2002 and was listed on
the MESDAQ in January 2006. Under Lim's creative force and visionary
leadership, the Group is now Malaysia's premier one-stop technology
provider and has, over the years, received numerous quality and
excellence awards. @ Sept 06 |
