Emerging Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2006 Macro Kiosk Bhd |
| |
|
The Macro Kiosk blueprint began in year 2000
when brothers Kenny and Henry Goh, while completing their tertiary education, founded Macro
Kiosk with another brother in 1998 as a partnership powering paging networks. Being forerunners
in recognizing the SMS technology potential, persuading investors to finance a technology relatively
new to the local market was a major challenge. Yet their passion and firm belief in their business
plan led an investor to finance their venture. Macro Kiosk has since metamorphosed into regional
offices in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia, supported by an approximately
100 - strong staff force and its systems are being used by eighteen sectors that include aviation,
hospitality and retail.
Galvanizing this phenomenon is Macro Kiosk's own SMS Gateway known as etracker, conceived by these
young entrepreneurs. The etracker platform is connected to 364 mobile operators over 115 countries
providing bi-directional SMS and 34 mobile operators over ten countries to provide premium /
reverse-charged SMS, servicing over a thousand content providers worldwide.
These focused and driven young entrepreneurs have propelled Macro Kiosk's extraordinary growth and in
this short period of time, have won them numerous accolades in the region. @ Sept 06 |
